What is a Panel-Ready Floor Plan?

For homeowners who don’t want to design a custom straw panel home from scratch, a Panel-Ready Plan (PRP) may be the right place to start. Building Integrity has developed a few schematic designs suited especially for a midwestern market. Through Building Integrity’s relationship with Monarch Architecture, plans can be customized and drawings then completed to a homeowner’s liking. PRPs are optimized for straightforward and cost-effective panel fabrication.

“The Joan”

The steep roof of “The Joan” allows an upstairs loft making it a perfect family cabin or ADU. The main floor is set up to flexibly serve as living or sleeping space. A large covered porch off the back can be screened-in to extend living space into the outdoors seasonally. A smaller hipped-roof porch on the front creates a generous covered entry. This design could work well with a slab or crawlspace. The front windows are positioned with ~18” sills - perfect for a little extra seating!
